A stucco repair is only as good as what happens before the patch goes on. Hairline cracks, wider fracture cracks, and holes from impact or old fixture removal all need different handling, and cutting straight to a fill coat without checking why the damage happened is how you end up patching the same spot twice.

We start by looking at the crack itself. A fine surface crack that does not move is a different job than a wide crack that opens and closes with the seasons, which usually points to movement in the wall behind it. Once we know what we are dealing with, the damaged area is cut back to sound material, not just skimmed over, and filled with a mix that matches the existing coat. The texture is worked in by hand to match the surrounding wall, and the patch is left to cure before any paint or color coat goes over it.

A repair that skips the texture matching step is easy to spot from the street, a smooth patch on a sand finish wall, or a different shade once it weathers. That is the part that separates a repair that disappears from one that just gets noticed later.

How it runs

  1. Assessment Cracks and holes are checked to see whether the cause is surface level or something moving underneath.
  2. Cut out Damaged material is removed back to solid stucco or lath, not just the visible crack line.
  3. Fill The area is built back up in coats to match the thickness of the surrounding wall.
  4. Texture match The finish is worked by hand to match the surrounding pattern before it sets.
  5. Blend Color is matched or, where needed, the wall is recoated so the patch does not stand out.
